The Korean giant may not be showing off the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge until 21st Feb but in a recent video that was released in the company’s official channel it was found that the Samsung Galaxy S7 might not be just another flagship.
The one minute video doesn’t reveal much about the specifications or hardware, but some of it’s flagship features can be seen. The design aesthetics of the phone remains the same which is good because it was a bold move that Samsung made with the Galaxy S6 being made of metal and glass moving away from it’s age old plastic feeling devices.
The device may sport IP67 or IP68 waterproof certificates as well which is a welcome addition. I think every flagship phones should be waterproof because of the price tag they have. Reports are also coming that the Galaxy S7 will have a microSD card expansion. The Galaxy S6 ditched it and now it’s coming back. This shows that Samsung is hearing the needs and features that it’s customers ask.
Another thing that was noticed was the camera hump. The Galaxy S7 may not have a protruding camera hump which was present in it’s predecessor. Now it’s a flat back panel made of glass and aluminium that will give the phone premium finish and feel. Well that’s it for now, we’ll all the other details within a week as the #TheNextGalaxy event where the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be launched in MWC 2016.
