After all the hype and rumours(Also See-Samsung Galaxy S7 rumours) Samsung launched their flagship for the year 2016, Samsung Galaxy S7 S7 Edge at the Mobile World Congress, 2016 in Barcelona.
It was very evident that Samsung took a close interest in customer feedback and came up with a better version of their last year flagship the Galaxy S6 as we say it. We know that not every phone is perfect but when you hear the feedback and try to work on them then you make something that can be said as a Near Perfect Phone. And that’s what Samsung did this year with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung Galaxy S6 was their first premium flagship phone that was true to it’s look and feel. The introduction of metal and glass combination was a welcome addition coming from it’s cheap plastic predecessors. This year Samsung came up with the same design strategy and improved all the missing features from the last year’s Galaxy lineup.
Build and Design
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with quad HD resolution. On the inside you get two options, the new Exynos 8890 and the all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. When talking about speed we have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot(Now that’s hot!). And the battery has also been beefed up, now you get 3000mAh one and the fingerprint sensor on top of the home button.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a slightly larger phone with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with quad HD resolution. Rest all is same for this big brother the other major difference is in the battery segment which houses a 3600mAh battery pack.
Borrowing from it’s predecessor the Galaxy family now include IP68 water and dust resistance certification with wireless charging. A new Always On mode will show you notification and time without turning on the phone. Many complained about the camera bump on the Galaxy S6, well that is gone and now we have a very subtle bump which will not cause a trouble.
Pricing of the devices have not been revealed as yet. Samsung has also not revealed all the specifications so some are subject to change. But we are expecting that the Samsung Galaxy S7 would cost Rs. 55,000 while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge might come at around Rs. 65,000
