Sony launched it’s flagship smartphones for the year 2016 , the Xperia X and Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra which will be coming soon.
Xperia X: What’s Inside
The Sony Xperia X has a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080p resolution with 64 GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a 3GB RAM and a hybrid slot for microSD and SIM, which takes either two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card upto 200GB capacity. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, which is the same that most budget smartphones like the Xiaomi Note 3 carry. The SoC is clocked at Dual core 1.8 Ghz Cortex-A72 and Quad core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 along with Adreno 510 GPU. The Xperia X has a 2620 mAh battery.
The Xperia X has been launched for Rs. 48990. The phone will be available on the 7th of June with preorders beginning immediately. Those placing pre-orders will receive a pair of Sony SBH70 Wireless headphones as a freebie.
Xperia X: Camera
Sony has always been great with cameras and this time also it’s the same story. The Xperia X has a 23 MP rear camera with f/2 aperture 24mm lens and predictive focus capabilities. The front camera has a 13 MP sensor with f/2 aperture. The caveat here is that the 23 MP rear shooter will only give you 1080p video recording.
The Xperia XA has a edge-less display that looks great. It also is a 5-inch device with 1280 x 720p display and has a 2.0 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. It has a 16GB internal storage with 2GB of RAM. The rear camera has a 13 MP sensor while the front has an 8MP sensor. The phone is priced at Rs. 20990 and will go on sale on June,18th.

After reading the flagship specifications do you think the price tag seems justified? A wooping 50000 for the phone that has mediocre specs. I don’t know what Sony was thinking while making this device. But in my opinion this has to be the flagship with a budget phone’s specifications. Heck, I don’t even feel like calling it a flagship! What are your thoughts on the latest smartphone offerings by Sony?
