Asus launched it’s third iteration of the ZenFone series with releasing the ZenFone 3 at the Zenvolution event in Taipei. The event made a huge impact with releasing it’s flagship model at just $499, the Zenfone Deluxe which offers all the latest and greatest specifications.
The ZenFone 3 is the base variant from the ZenFone series, it has a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is running on Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
It has an impressive 16MP rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor and ASUS TriTech autofocus that has a laser autofocus, phase detection autofocus and contrast-detection autofocus(That’s a lot of Focus!). On top of that you get an RGB sensor, dual-tone LED flash,4-axis optical stabilization for images and 3-axis electronic stabilization for videos. The phone has a 3000mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor that’s on the back of the phone(I love that spot), and USB 2.0 Type-C connector. All at just $249 which turns out to be approx 16k-17k INR now that’s a very aggressive pricing in my opinion.
ZenFone 3 Deluxe
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the flagship model of the ZeoFone series with an all metal body that has no visible antenna lines. The display is slightly larger than the ZenFone 3, a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and variants that have 6GB of RAM. Yeah, you read that right!
The rear camera has 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis OIS and 4K video support. It has a super resolution mode that can scale up to 92 megapixels(That’s ridiculous). It also has the USB Type-C connector but with USB 3.0 and it also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor which resides on the back of the phone. The phone is priced at $499 which turns out to be approx 33k-35k INR.
ZenFone 3 Ultra
The ZenFone 3 Ultra is a phablet category phone(Don’t know why!), it has a 6.8-inch Full HD display which has camera specifications from the ZenFone 3 Deluxe and the processing specifications from the base model, that’s a 23MP rear camera and Snapdragon 625 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. And this one is priced at $479 which is around 30k-32k INR.
