Everything you need to know about Apple Airpods 2

When Apple combined the headphone and charging port into their IPhones they were immensely criticized. It became extremely inconvenient for people to prioritize between both functions. After a while, they announced the release of wireless headphones which was meant to be the ultimate solution for all Apple users.

Airpod 2 was released on March 20, 2019, which was three years after the first generation of AirPods was released back in 2016. While there isn’t much difference in the built, design, or structure its features are what sets Airpod 2 apart.

At first glance, you see how Apple has delivered class and elegance. It immediately became of symbol of style after its release. Before people realized how useful they were, purchases were made regardless.

Set Up Airpods

Apple has released AirPods in just one color, for now, white. There is a light in between the two pieces that indicate different statuses. When the AirPods are in the case the light is an indicator for their charging. When the AirPods are not in the case the light shows the case’s status. In both cases, a green light means there is full charging. The amber light means there is less than one full charge available.

The AirPods give you a magical experience with its smooth connecting abilities. These wireless headphones are easy to step up. All you need to do is press the small button at the back of the case while holding it close to whatever device you want to connect it to. When you press the button the LED inside the case turns white and starts to blink. This indicates that it is ready to connect. A popup will appear on your device which will allow you to connect and view the charging status of the case and the AirPods all the time. Once connected you will be able to hear a high-quality sound system making you forget what conventional headphones offered. While it can be connected to all smartphones and laptops the best experience is delivered in an iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad. There is slower automatic connectivity for Android devices for obvious reasons.

Airpods 2 Feature Check

Using them is easier than you can imagine. They have sensors that make them function automatically according to it. They get connected once you put them in your ears and will pause whatever you have played once you pull them out. You do not need to connect them repeatedly. Once paired with your device you can let the sensors work their magic. It can switch devices twice as fast as the first generation.

For the first time, the Apple H1 chip was used. It has Bluetooth 5.0 and supports Siri. Now Siri can announce messages or listen to your commands through the AirPods. This can be especially convenient if you want to know whose phone it is or what message came even if your phone is at a distance. It does need to be in the range of AirPods though. The H1 ensures a stronger and stable connection.

It has a speech-detecting accelerometer which detects and focuses the voice of the person being spoken to and eliminates background noise. The system is built such that you do not need to wear both the AirPods if you do not want to. This does not affect the sound volume or quality.

With just a single tap on the Airpod, you can access a bunch of features. You can both attend or hang up a call by tapping on the top of your AirPod. You also have the option to access music controls without the phone itself. You can play, or skip forward with a double-tap on either of the AirPod according to how you set them.

Unlike Airpod First Generation, the second generation supports wireless charging for an additional cost. This will be indicated by the LED on the front of the case. The charging itself was also greatly improved with the AirPods having up to 24 hours of listening time on multiple charges. A single charge gives you about 5 hours of listening time and 3 hours of talk time which is double what was offered before. The time may be subject to criticism but the fact that you can have one full charge in just 20 minutes. Since the sound is distributed between the two pieces and singular usage does not affect quality it is recommended to use one at a time and then switching when the charging runs out.

Apple Airpods was everything you thought you didn’t want. However once used and purchased it becomes something you cannot function without. It allows you to charge the phone while playing games or watching movies. You can listen to music while jogging without the hassle of holding the phone or the wires being tangled.
